Ben Marshall

Ben Marshall Ben´s plays include: The Balcony Goat, Luna Stage (NJ); Church Play, Borderlands Festival (AZ); Boom Box, HBO´s new writers´ workshop (CA); The Red Train, Interact Theatre Philadelphia (PA); Henry´s Bridge and Snow both produced Off-Off-Broadway (NY); Absolutions and Paradise, Lost Frontier Theatre Conference (AK); Carlos and LaVonne, second prize recipient at Theodore Ward Playwriting Contest (IL); and One Legged Race, Playwrights Festival of New Jersey (NJ).

Additionally, Ben´s poetry has appeared in Nimrod, Obsidian I, Obsidian II, Art and Understanding, and Phatitude. He has received three fellowships from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, two from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, and one from the National Endowment for the Humanities for the study of African Americans in Performing Arts. Ben holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
