Benjamin Tibbels was introduced to theatre at a young age. Doing small school and church
productions as early as kindergarten, he knew that being in front of an audience is what he wanted
to do. While taking classes at school and local theatre programs, he began doing plays at the Lincoln
Community Playhouse and other theatre troupes. In high school among the plays he was in, his
interest in improvisational comedy was sparked, and he spent the next four years learning about
improvisation. He became a founding member of the professional improv troupe Lyp-Schtick. Now
he is an active member of Rough Magic Productions having performed in Just Add Water, The Position
and Mr. Marmalade. His favorite roles include Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, Charlie in Mere Mortals,
Walter in Don´t Drink the Water and Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing.
