Brenda O´Brien received her early theater experience in the southern California area. She turned pro
at age 12 and continued to make a living in the arts throughout her life. She moved to New York
in 1990 and performed in numerous off-Broadway productions, national tours, television shows
and films working with such greats as Robert DeNiro, Sean Penn, Sean Connery and Hal Prince.
You may recognize her as the villainous title character from the PBS show Where in Time is Carmen
Sandiego with Lynne Thigpen. O´Brien is also a professional makeup artist for television, film and
Broadway shows including The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast and Saturday Night Live. She is thrilled
to be here in Omaha starting a new chapter in life with the John Beasley Theater & Workshop where
she works as artistic associate, workshop coordinator, teacher and director.
