Charleen Willoughby

Charleen J.B. Willoughby is happy to be returning to Brigit Saint Brigit Theatre Company´s stage where she has appeared as Valerie in The Weir, Penny in You Can´t Take It with You and the Irish drama The Freedom of the City. Last season, she rendered a powerful performance as the self-involved Irina Arkadina in The Seagull. She holds a B.S. in Secondary Education and an M.A. in Theatre from the University of Nebraska–Omaha (UNO). For her master´s thesis project, she performed the role of Eleanor of Aquitaine in The Lion in Winter. She appeared as Lady Bracknell in Oscar Wilde´s The Importance of Being Earnest with the Living Picture Project at the Bellevue Little Theatre. Willoughby has undertaken roles in several UNO productions including Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo´s Nest, Ouiser in Steel Magnolias, Clytemnestra in Electra, Lady Fidget in The Country Wife, Mrs. Gibbs in Our Town and Homebody in Tony Kushner´s Homebody/Kabul.
