Chris Maly has been an active Nebraska educator and playwright for ten years. His first production, This Unhallowed Art, was
featured at the 1999 Platte River Playwright´s Festival in Kearney, Neb. In 2003, Maly earned the Dale E. Black Nebraska Educator Award
from the Nebraska Speech and Theatre Association. In 2007, he earned the Governor´s Teaching Award and a Mayor´s Artist Award. His
original play This Unsafe Star: The Story of Emmett Till was the first original high school stand-alone play to be featured at the
Lied Center for Performing Arts in Lincoln, Neb. Aside from plays, Maly has also published poetry and short stories.
