Clarence Coo

Clarence Coo Clarence´s work, which Ben Brantley of the New York Times has described as reminiscent of "a young John Guare," has been seen at the Kennedy Center, the Mark Taper Forum, East West Players, Theatre J, and TheatreVirginia. His play Proof through the Night was produced Off-Broadway as part of the Young Playwrights Festival. Bahala Na was read at Theatre Mu´s New Eyes Festival and subsequently workshopped by the theatre. His play Braids was seen at Round House Theatre´s Plays Under Construction Festival. Clarence is the recipient of the DC Commission on the Arts´ Larry Neal Playwriting Award and Kumu Kahua Theatre´s Pacific Rim Prize. He is a member of the Playwrights Forum of Washington, DC.
