David Penhallow

David Penhallow David Penhallow, educator, author and playwright, was born on Oahu, Hawaii, and raised on Kauai. Penhallow´s lexicon of jobs includes acting in New York City, director of the Kauai Museum, director of economic development and assistant to the mayor of the County of Kauai and instructor of drama and cinema in Hawaii and on the mainland. He retired in 1998 as an instructor at the Kauai Community College. Penhallow published two novels under Rice Street Press, After the Ball and The Betrayers. His third endeavor is a non-fiction book, The Story of the Coco Palms Hotel, released in April of 2007. Penhallow´s plays Listen to the Stars and The House of Happy Talk, were produced by non-profit theatre groups in Hawaii. He closed in January 2006 acting in a three-year run of the musical South Pacific playing Captain Brackett.
