Don Cook, an automotive writer and director from Detroit, is now retired and living in Charlotte, N.C., where he is an active member of the
Playwrights in Progress group. Between career gigs in Detroit, he was a founding member of two professional theatres: the Attic Theatre and the
Actors Renaissance Theatre. Several of Cook´s plays have received staged readings and/or full productions on both of those stages and at
Detroit´s Heartlande Theatre, as well as New York´s Ensemble Studio Theatre and HB Studios; several venues in the Carolinas; the
Fine Arts Festival in Ohio; Nantucket R.I., and the Grande Olde Players Theater in Omaha.
