Ira Gamerman received his B.A. in Theatre from Towson University. His plays have been performed in Maryland, Washington D.C., California,
Nebraska, Alaska and Ohio at prestigious venues such as the Kennedy Center. Gamerman was a participant in the 2005 and 2006 Kennedy Center
Playwriting Intensive, the 2006 and 2007 Last Frontier Theatre Conference and the 2007 Great Plains Theatre Conference. His first full-length
play No One Told You? received an individual artist grant from the Maryland State Arts Council. His second full-length play, Split,
received first place production and third place play at the 2006 Baltimore Playwrights Festival. In 2006, City Paper voted him Best
Playwright of Baltimore. Gamerman is the founder of The Playwrights Group of Baltimore, a group dedicated to developing the work of
Baltimore-based playwrights. He currently resides in Chicago, Ill., where he pursues music and playwriting. As a musician, Gamerman fronts
Baltimore-based indie-band Even So (www.myspace.com/evenso).
