Jeanne Drennan

Jeanne Drennan Jeanne´s plays have been developed at professional theatres from New York to California. Her current works are 12 Dogs, the story of a young teacher trying to guide a special student in post-cataclysmic North America, and Waxworks, in which a middle-aged novelist unused to political freedom struggles to act independently in a new democracy so chaotic it exceeds the bounds of reality.

Jeanne has just been awarded her sixth fellowship from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. Upcoming in 2006 are a production of her play Asparagus (Open Stage Theatre), a workshop with the Pittsburgh Irish and Classical Theatre of Waxworks, and a reading in New York of scenes from 12 Dogs (at St. Malachy´s).
