Jerry has fifty years of theatre experience starting as a dancer in the 50's in St. Louis, Missouri, moving
on to earning a B.A. and an M.A. at San Francisco State University, then to university teaching by the late
1960's. He has directed over a hundred shows along with playwriting and acting along with owning and
producing commercial theatre. Jerry also taught theatre arts for 30 years at various colleges and
universities. In Minneapolis, he has performed in many productions, mostly children´s theatre. He wrote the
libretto and lyrics for new adaptations of Velveteen Rabbit, Wind in the Willows, Secret
Garden, The Yellow House Mystery, and Anne, the Pirate Queen, and co-wrote a recent
production of Aladdin and His Magical Lamp. He has been produced at The Great American History
Theatre (St. Paul, Minnesota), Arena Theatre (Minneapolis, Minnesota), Playwrights Ensemble Theatre
(Eugene, Oregon), and at other west coast theatres.
