Jerry Venger has been involved in Omaha theater since the Omaha Community Playhouse production
of Life with Father as Clarence Day Jr. at age 16. That was when the Playhouse was located at 40th
and Davenport. Since that time, he has been on stage at the Omaha Community Playhouse as Marat
Sade in Richard the II and Galelio in A Christmas Carol. Venger has also performed at the Chanticleer
Theater, The Bellevue Little Theater, the Norton Theater, the University of Nebraska–Omaha´s
Theater and many shows at the Grande Olde Players Theatre where he most recently played Chester
Nimitz in A USO Christmas. His favorite seat in the house is on stage. Retired as a candy and tobacco
salesman for his family´s business, Venger enjoys collecting sports cars, reading and biking.
