Jim McKain has been part of productions in Chicago, Minneapolis, Dallas and Denver
and toured nationally with My Fair Lady. Locally, notable performances have been at
the Omaha Community Playhouse in such shows as Bus Stop, A Man of No Importance,
Noises Off! and Violet and at the BlueBarn Theatre in The Pillowman. As an actor, other
favorite roles have been in Ragtime, Of Mice and Men, Secret Garden and The Boys Next
Door. McKain is also a veteran of many industrial films and in 2007 was in the feature
film Out of Omaha. As a director, his work has been seen locally at the Dundee Dinner
Theatre with Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?, the Lincoln Community
Playhouse with their production of Hello, Dolly! and at the Bellevue Little Theatre
with Kismet and Laura. When not ´playing,´ McKain and his wife Kathy have two
wonderful daughters, Greer and Blythe. He is an accomplished chef and works as a
food broker.
