Defending Marriage is Joseph Basque´s second full-length play. It was produced at the Shelterbelt Theatre in Omaha in April/May
=2006. It received outstanding reviews and sold out most of a four-week run. It subsequently received a public reading in 2007 for the
Reverie Productions Next Generations Playwright´s Contest. Basque´s first play, Ping Pong Diplomacy, received a four-week
equity production at the 59E59 Theater in New York in 2005. His scripts and monologues have also been produced locally at the Shelterbelt
Theatre, Baby D Productions, Creighton University and The Hot Shops.
