Born in Omaha, John-Paul Gurnett has been an avid actor for most of his life. He started acting at
the age of 12 as a member of the El Museo Latino acting troupe. After attending Omaha South High,
a performing arts magnet school, Gurnett decided to pursue theatre at Creighton University. While
at Creighton, he has appeared as Father O´Reilly in Patent Leather Shoes, the Musician in The Sandbox
and Narcissus in Polaroid Stories. He also stage managed The Laramie Project. Gurnett is a wannabe
playwright who wishes to write something that someone other than his mom will like. After he
finishes his undergrad, he hopes to attend graduate school at New York University.
