Jorge Albertella

Jorge Albertella Jorge was raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, by Jewish Italian parents who ran away from Europe during WWII. He has also lived in Paraguay, Brazil, Uruguay, and finally in New York, a city that he still loves very deeply although he has been enjoying the sunny days of Los Angeles, California, for the last 30 years.

Jorge has been all over the world, speaks several languages, and his love for the theatre started at an early age. He graduated with a Ph.D. in Psychology from USC, an M.A. in Sociology from California State University at Los Angeles and studied movies, TV, and playwrighting at UCLA and Loyola University. Jorge has written eight novels that have been published in Spanish and about ten plays in English; some of them really embarrassing and others have been produced in Los Angeles and received good reviews. Jorge states that he writes his English plays with an accent.
