Kenley Smith earned an M.A. in English and Creative Writing from Hollins University in 1982 and is currently enrolled there as a member of
the first class in the M.F.A. in Playwriting program. His play The Sun, The Sun was produced on the Trinkle Main Stage of Mill
Mountain Theatre this July as part of Overnight Sensations. He participates regularly, both as a writer and performer, at No Shame
Theatre in Roanoke, Vir.. His fiction has won contests sponsored by Mountain State Press and the Abingdon (Virginia) Highlands Festival. From
1989 to 2000, Smith served as president and chief instructor for Car Guys, Inc., a high-performance motorsports school.
