Kyle is an assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. He holds a B.A. in
English from the University of Massachusetts, an M.F.A. in Playwriting from the University of Washington,
and a Ph.D. in Theatre and Dramaturgy from Florida State University. His dissertation was a critical,
historical, and dramaturgical analysis of the plays of Arthur Kopit, who participated in the process
through interviews and access to unpublished manuscripts. In May 2006, Kyle will direct a workshop
production of Kopit´s play-in-progress Discovery of America at UWSP, where the playwright will be in
residence for several weeks.
