Laura Emack feeds her writing habit by working as a CPA. Her play An Army
of One was performed as a staged reading in Levant, Maine, and in part at the
2006 Great Plains Theatre Conference. Writers Block also made its public debut as a
staged reading at the Bangor Public Library and was subsequently published in At
Play: An Anthology of Maine Drama in 2004. Her short play A Frank Conversation
Between Writer and Muse is a current finalist in Vermont Actors´ Repertory Theatre´s
Nor´Eastern Play Writing Contest. Emack´s essays have appeared in Maine in Print
and Narramissic Notebook. She also authored several as-yet unpublished novels and
un-optioned screenplays, plus an array of short stories and works for the stage. She
resides in a stone house with her husband Jack, their son Jeff, two huskies and a
coon cat. Emack is represented by the Michael H. Sommer Literary Agency.
