Mary Gaetz

Mary Gaetz Mary Gaetz is a graduate student working on her M.F.A. in Directing at the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film. She has won both the 2005 and 2007 William Inge Directing Competition at the Region Five Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival, as well as the 2007 Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers Award that took her to the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. to direct a new student play. While at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, Gaetz directed Scooter Thomas Makes It to the Top of the World and Eurydice by Sarah Ruhl. She directed a staged reading of Connie Whitt- Lambert´s Second Coming for the 2006 Great Plains Theatre Conference and Romulus Linney´s Sand Mountain Matchmaking for the 2007 conference. She is former administrative director for Rough Magic Productions where she directed for GO(!) and Just Add Water: a 24 hour play project. She has performed in Terra Nova and Grace and Glorie at the Great Plains Theatre Festival in Abilene, Kan. She is currently director of audience development/family arts director for the Nebraska Repertory Theatre.
