Mary K. Stillwell

Mary K. Stillwell Mary K. Stillwell, a native of Omaha, Nebraska, studied playwriting and acting at HB Studio in New York City with William Packard and William Hickey, respectively. She is an accomplished poet with published work appearing in various journals including The Paris Review, Prairie Schooner, The Massachusetts Review, Confrontation and The Little Magazine. Her first collection of poems, Moving to Malibu, was published by Sandhills Press. Stillwell is editor of Nebraska Presence: An Anthology of Contemporary Nebraska Poetry to be published in September 2007 by Backwaters Press. She is currently at work on a full-length critical introduction to the poetry of Ted Kooser. Stillwell holds a doctorate from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln where she teaches.
