H. Michael Loy has been involved with the Great Plains Theatre Conference since it began and is
happy to be returning to Omaha for the third year. He has directed more than 80 productions ranging
from children´s, high school, community and professional theatre. Recent directing credits include
Bash – Latterday Plays, Brighton Beach Memoirs and Charlotte´s Web. Recent acting credits include
Harvey (Elwood P. Dowd) and The Laramie Project (Dennis Shepard). Currently he is on leave from
Metropolitan Community College where he taught in the Passport Program (Theatre) and is presently
at Minot State University in Minot, N.D., where he is the visiting assistant professor of theatre and
speech–playwriting. He holds an M.F.A. from the Dallas Theater Center/Trinity University where he
was a professional theater apprentice under Paul Baker.
