Mira teaches at Concordia University in Nebraska where she has directed and produced theatre since 1986. She
works with student playwrights in the development of new plays and was selected to direct an original
ten-minute play at the 2001 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in Washington, D. C. Mira has
also served as dramaturge for productions of On the Verge, M. Butterfly, and The Tempest
at the Nebraska Repertory Theatre Company and presented papers at the Directing Symposium of the Mid-America
Theatre Conference. She is the author of The Staging and Transformation of Archetypes in A Midsummer
Night´s Dream, M. Butterfly and Kiss of the Spider Woman.
