Myla Lichtman-Fields

Myla Lichtman-Fields Myla Lichtman-Fields´s plays have been produced by Equity and university theatres throughout the country and have received recognition in national playwriting contests. An excerpt from The Scandalmakerswas presented at the first Great Plains Theatre Conference in 2006. The Antaeus Company´s staged reading of Counterparts starring Apollo Dukakis is scheduled for January 2007. In 1999, her play Felix & Fanny was produced by California Artists Radio Theatre for NPR featuring Michael York and Samantha Eggar. The Wetback, directed by Anthony Barnao, was presented at the Lex Theatre in Hollywood and in Orange County in 2001. Her plays The Stone of Kilhara and The Peacemaker were read at San Diego´s Old Globe Theatre, and The Peacemakers was workshopped at the O´Neill Playwriting Conference Center in Connecticut. As a staff writer at Universal Studios, Lichtman-Fields penned NBC episodics, MOWs and an NBC special. Her credits include freelance work in the U.S. and Canada. Her background includes a Ph.D. in Communications/Drama with a minor in Film from the University of Southern California. She is a member of the Writers Guild of America, West, The Dramatists Guild and PEN West.
