Paul Schneider

Paul Schneider A native of Milwaukee, Paul Schneider earned his Master´s Degree in English from the University of Virginia in 1967 and a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin in 1973. He taught in the English department of Syracuse University from 1970 until 1982. In 1979, he founded the Contemporary Theater of Syracuse, which is alive and well today as the Red House Theater. Schneider left teaching to become a stockbroker with Kidder, Peabody and Company, rising to the rank of vice president by 1991. He returned to college teaching in that year, ultimately becoming a professor of English and director of theater at Dana College in Blair, Neb. He teaches a wide range of courses including creative writing, acting, Shakespeare, grammar, linguistics and criticism. Schneider began writing in 1991, completing a novel (as yet unpublished) and many plays in subsequent years (all of them produced at Dana College). Currently, he is working on a novel that involves water wars and international conspiracy.
