Roger Gross is professor of drama at the University of Arkansas and is director of their M.F.A. Program in Playwriting. He was founder and, for
eight years, artistic director of the California Shakespeare Festival. He was director of the Mount Sequoyah New Play Retreat from 1989 to
1996. Gross directs the annual George Kernodle New Play Competition. He is an actor, playwright, composer and filmmaker. He is author of
Understanding Playscripts and the forthcoming Speaking Shakespeare´s Verse. This is Gross´s third trip to
the Great Plains Theatre Conference.
