Ruis Woertendyke

Ruis Woertendyke Ruis is a teacher, director, playwright, and actor. He gained a small recognition in the late seventies and early eighties as a playwright with Ellen Stewart´s La Mama, CETA production of his plays: Brothers and Sisters, Love and Junk, American Babies, and his collaboration with Felix Montez, Slow Poison, Small Fires. He currently teaches playwriting at Pace University and produces a festival of new plays every fall. He developed the acting program at Pace and has been important to the development of the University´s Performing Arts Department. He is the happy father of five children.
