An accomplished director, music director and actor, Todd Brooks most recently directed the Pulitzer
Prize-winning play night, Mother. Other directing credits include Come Back to the Five and Dime,
Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean, Christmas with the Crawfords, The Laramie Project, The Shadow Box and
the Theatre Arts Guilds Award-winning Best Musical Whoop-Dee-Doo! Brooks made his Omaha
Symphony debut last year portraying the narrator in Igor Stravinsky´s Histoire Du Soldat. On stage
credits include Kiss of the Spider Woman, Sunday in the Park with George, The Most Fabulous Story
Every Told, Assassins, Three Guys Naked from the Waist Down, Love! Valour! Compassion! and The Boys
in the Band. He also portrayed Huck Finn in Big River (Mary Peckham Award for Best Actor in a
Musical). Musical directing experience includes shows such as John and Jen, Cabaret and My Fair
Lady. He also writes plays that have been produced in the Omaha area.
