Whitney Rowland is a student playwright from the University of Kansas in
Lawrence, Kansas. She is pursuing undergraduate degrees in theatre and in
English with an emphasis in playwriting. Suicide by Punchbowl, a ten-minute play
by Rowland, recently won the 2007 Kennedy Center American College Theatre
Festival (KCACTF) Region V Ten-Minute Play Festival. Her one-act Lights Fade,
Curtain won the 2007 KCACTF Region V One-Act Festival and is nominated for
the John Cauble Short Play Award. Rowland´s faculty mentor is Paul Stephen Lim.
