College for Kids

MCC’s Continuing Education department is searching for part-time instructors for the College for Kids summer program. Courses are offered Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.–noon during June and July at a different location each week.

Counselor’s corner


Student retention

Student retention has recently become the central focus for MCCs academic counselors with the sole purpose of improving retention rates. The College’s four academic counselors, Christine Saitta (SOC), Norma Morehouse (SOC), Adrian Lewandowski (FOC) and Molly Engdahl (EVC), are part of a team effort that also includes Diana Kerwin-Kubr, EVC director of student services, and Maria Vazquez, associate vice president for student affairs.

Disability Support Services – student and postsecondary responsibilities

Colleges have an obligation under the Americans with Disabilities Act to provide qualified students with disabilities access to their programs and services. Institutions also have an obligation to provide reasonable accommodations. However, students also have equal, if not greater, responsibilities to be partners with educational institutions in meeting their needs.
