Be A Tutor
|
ALL TUTORS MUST:
- Be willing to work with other students who have academic or special needs.
- Adhere to schedules in a timely manner.
- Submit reports as directed.
- Be an individual of high standards and personal integrity.
- Attend in-service training and complete the CRLA training requirements
- Adhere to tutor responsibilities.
- Be academically proficient to move a student from academic deficiencies to academic successes.
- Evaluate student’s progress and similarly to be evaluated.
- Demonstrate subject matter expertise
Interviews:
- Your application must be complete before you will be considered for an interview. Not all applicants will be interviewed.
- Hiring decisions will be based on applicant qualifications and program needs. Employment is not guaranteed beyond the present quarter.
- Tutor Services accepts applications throughout the year. Typical hiring periods are in August and March, and as needed.

Q: How many hours per week? |
A: Tutors are able to set their own availability. Hours vary between 8-18 hours per week depending on YOUR availability.

| Q: Do I have to go to other campus locations? |
A: You choose the locations you wish to tutor at. We have six locations
|
| Q: Where does tutoring take place? |
| A: Tutoring is to take place on campus. We do not allow tutoring in private homes or off campus. Space is available in the Academic Resource Center, libraries, or classrooms. |
