Scholarship Application for Fall of 2019 Students

Directions to complete the scholarship application:

  1. Click the "Apply Now!" button above and complete an MCC Enrollment Application

  2. Be sure to click "yes" to the question about applying for scholarships 

  3. Submit the "Essay Questions" forms in your Supplemental Items

  • Tell us about a time when you faced a challenge, setback, or failure. What did you do to overcome it, how did it impact you, and what did you learn from the experience?

  • Please describe an issue, purpose, or idea that fascinates you. What makes it so appealing to you, and how have you pursued a deeper understanding of it?

That's it! You will receive a notification that you've completed your scholarhsip application. You will be notified of our decision by April 1st .

Current High-School and Home-School Seniors

High-school seniors and home-school students applying to attend MCC in the Fall of 2019 can apply for the following scholarship opportunities:

Academic Excellence Scholarship

  • Eligibility: ACT score of 26 or higher; Nebraska resident

  • Amount/Covered: 100 percent of tuition/fees covered; up to 18 credit hours per quarter; eligible for eight of 10 consecutive quarters ($500 per quarter) 

Board of Governors Graduating Senior Scholarship

  • Eligibility: 2018-19 high school graduate; GPA of 2.75 on 4.0 scale, 3.43 on 5.0 scale or in top 25 percent of graduating class

  • Amount/Covered: 100 percent of tuition/fees covered; up to 18 credit hours per quarter; eligible for eight of 10 consecutive quarters ($500 per quarter) 

Future Forward Scholarship

  • Eligibility: Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher; enrolled in career or technical education program

  • Amount/Covered: Total of $1,500 over three of four consecutive quarters toward tuition and fees ($500 per quarter)

Johnny Rodgers Career and Technical Education Scholarship

  • Eligibility: GPA of 2.0 or higher; enrolled in career or technical education program; financial need required.

  • Amount/Covered: Total of $3,000 over three of four consecutive quarters toward tuition and fees ($1,000 per quarter)

Take It Further Scholarship

  • Eligibility: Successfully completed at least two MCC classes with a grade C or higher while in high school; Nebraska resident

  • Amount/Covered: $250 per quarter for three of four quarters; applicable to fall, winter and spring quarters

Other First-time MCC Students

Students who took a little time after high school before returning to college can apply for the following scholarship opportunities:

Future Forward Scholarship

  • Eligibility: Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher; enrolled in career or technical education program

  • Amount/Covered: Total of $1,500 over three of four consecutive quarters toward tuition and fees ($500 per quarter)

Johnny Rodgers Career and Technical Education Scholarship

  • Eligibility: GPA of 2.0 or higher; enrolled in career or technical education program; financial need required.
