Jackie Ayala-Collins

Hometown: Omaha, Nebraska

Education: Bachelors in Communication Arts from Bellevue University

Past Professional work experience: I have over 7 years of working in higher education. I have held various
positions such as recruitment, enrollment, financial aid and community outreach. My passion for education is the driving force in my career.

Favorite thing about MCC: I am very proud to say that I work for Metropolitan Community College. I love that MCC is constantly evolving to bring a quality and affordable education to the community. MCC is always developing new and exciting academic programs to mirror the job markets.

Areas of special interest:  I have always been particularly interested in how MCC fosters many articulation agreements with 4 year colleges. This means that a student can start at MCC and continue to a major university saving thousands of dollars and transfer credits along the way.

One interesting fact about me: My family and I have hosted 27 foreign exchange students over the last 10 years. We have hosted college students from, Venezuela, Columbia and Japan. We enjoy learning about other students and their cultures, as well as teaching customs and traditions about the US.

Programs specific to your campus: As an enrollment specialist I have the opportunity to work at the Fort Omaha campus. Here at the Fort Omaha campus you will find the widely renowned Culinary Arts, Horticulture, Construction and more!
