Request a Campus Visit

Welcome to Metropolitan Community College! We look forward to meeting you and highlighting our programs and the opportunities that await you! We have seven locations in our service area. When selecting a location for your tour that meets your academic needs, please consider that not all programs are at all locations. Refer to our online catalog for specifics.

All requests for MCC tours begin with our online form. Once a form is submitted, an MCC representative will follow up by phone within three business days.

Individual Tours

Individual tours are offered at different times at each campus and through personalized scheduling at our centers.

  • Elkhorn Valley Campus
    • Wednesdays at 10am, 2pm and 5pm, on the 4th week of the month.
  • Fort Omaha Campus
    • Tuesdays at 1pm
    • Wednesdays at 5pm, on the 4th week of the month.
    • Thursdays at 10am
  • South Omaha Campus
    • Tuesdays at 10am and 5pm, on the 3rd week of the month.
    • Wednesdays at 12pm
  • Applied Technology Center, Fremont Area Center, Sarpy Center and Washington County Technology Center
    • personalized times will be set up during your confirmation phone call from an MCC representative.

Please note that individual tours do not include advising sessions; if you would also like to meet with an advisor, make arrangements with the MCC representative who calls you as a follow up to your individual tour request submission.

Tours must be requested at least two weeks in advance.

Individual tours are not available for the two weeks prior to the start of the quarter or the first week of the quarter due to high demand in our Student Services areas.

Group Tours

  • Group tours are offered on Fridays at each of our locations based on availability; we encourage only one location per visit.
  • All tours include an information session and a walking tour. The tours last approximately one hour.
  • Tours must be requested at least two weeks in advance.
  • Requests are handled on a first come, first serve basis, but priority is given to eighth grade and high school student groups.
  • Group tours are not available for the two weeks prior to the start of the quarter or the first week of the quarter due to high demand in our Student Services areas.

Tour Size & Length*

MCC can accommodate up to 50 people in a group at:

  • South Omaha Campus
  • Fort Omaha Campus
  • Elkhorn Valley Campus.

MCC can accommodate up to 30 people in a group at:

  • Applied Technology Center

*The length of the tour will depend on the MCC campus or location you are visiting. No tour is longer than 90 minutes.

What to Expect

Student Expectations

  • Maintain a respectful attitude for all presenters, students and faculty of the College
  • Come prepared with a positive attitude and be ready to actively participate in all tour activities
  • Have respect for the campus property including all indoor and outdoor facilities
  • Cell phones and other electronics must be turned off for the duration of the tour
  • Be conscious of noise levels and side conversations
    • While speakers present, they should have your full attention
    • As you walk around inside and outside of buildings, keep in mind that this is a school with classes that are in session, and noise can be a huge distraction to students trying to learn

Chaperone Expectations

  • Stay with students at all times and keep an attentive attitude toward students throughout the tour
  • Immediately address and prevent any negative student behaviors that occur on tours
  • Understand that chaperones are responsible for student safety on tours
  • For students under 18, at least one chaperone per ten students must be in attendance (bus drivers do not count)

The Day of the Tour

  • Wear appropriate walking shoes and clothing (expect to do some outside walking on this tour)
  • Arrive 5-10 minutes early at the pre-determined location
  • Call at least 24 hours in advance if tour cancellation is necessary.

Dining on Campus

If your group would like to dine on campus you will need to work with the restaurant at the location that you would like to visit to make arrangements.
