MCC Express to host book giveaway as part of four year anniversary

OMAHA, Neb. — Metropolitan Community College Express, 3002 South 24th St., will host a family-oriented back-to-school event to help mark the location’s four year anniversary on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 4-7 p.m. The event will feature a free book giveaway for people of all ages, prizes, tours and organizations with community resources.  
Having opened in 2012, MCC Express provides adult education classes, community adult literacy services, a computer center, transition assistance, English-as-a-Second language courses, reading programs and career exploration and workplace readiness services. One of the goals of MCC Express is to provide students and the community resources that are nearby, allowing easier access to important educational resources.

Metropolitan Community College, accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, is a comprehensive, public community college that offers affordable, quality education to all residents of Dodge, Douglas, Sarpy and Washington counties.
