MCC named a host site for the Nebraska Science Festival

Metropolitan Community College will host Nebraska Science Festival activities on Saturday, April 6, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. in rooms 217 and 400-405 of the Mahoney building at the College’s South Omaha Campus, 2909 Edward Babe Gomez Ave.

The science activities are intended for all ages and will encompass a variety of science disciplines such as biology, chemistry and physics. The hands-on experiences will be led by educational professionals and are designed to introduce youth to STEM topics in a fun, interactive way.

About the Nebraska Science Festival

Presented by the University of Nebraska Medical Center, the Nebraska Science Festival is a collaboration of organizations and individuals interested in the advancement of science literacy. The Nebraska Science Festival’s mission is to stimulate curiosity and excite the minds of children and adults by engaging them in the world of science for ten days each April at a variety of host sites across the state.
