Art exhibit at MCC’s Elkhorn location to feature work of local artist, instructor

OMAHA, Neb. — The Gallery of Art and Design at the Metropolitan Community College Elkhorn Valley Campus, 829 N. 204th St., will open the new exhibition, “Tricia Hollins Intuitive Geometry” on Wednesday, Oct. 16 with a reception and artist presentation at 5:30 p.m. The exhibit will be on display through Wednesday, Nov. 13.

The exhibit will feature the work that MCC art instructor Tricia Hollins completed on her recent sabbatical. Employing the language of geometry and color to explore an idea in a multitude of ways while experimenting with media, Hollins’ paintings suggest both control and spontaneity.

The gallery’s hours are 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Fridays. All exhibits are free and open to the public.
