Annual art exhibition begins Jan. 18 at MCC gallery

OMAHA, Neb. — Metropolitan Community College’s Gallery of Art and Design, 829 N. 204th Street, will host “DIMAFX” beginning Wednesday, Jan. 18, running through Wednesday, Feb. 22. The annual exhibition will feature the personal artwork of MCC faculty. An opening reception will be held on the evening of Jan. 18 at 5:30 p.m. inside the gallery.

“This is a great exhibition because it showcases the personal projects of our instructors, which they are creating when not teaching in the classroom,” said Jewel Hosman, gallery director and art adjunct instructor.

The Gallery of Art and Design’s hours are Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The mission of the gallery is to provide a creative and academic experience for students, faculty, staff and the visiting public in an intimate campus setting, where all exhibits and events are free and open to the public.
