Blood drive returns to MCC on March 14

On Tuesday, Jan. 9, roll up your sleeves and help save lives!

The office of Student Wellness and Human Resources have proudly partnered with the American Red Cross to hold Metropolitan Community College's first blood drive since 2019.

  • When: Thursday, March 14

  • Where: South Omaha Campus, CAM 120

  • Time: 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Walk-ins are welcome, or sign up in advance by visiting the Red Cross website and typing "metrosaves" in the top left Find a Blood Drive search bar.

Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. Blood is essential to help patients survive surgeries, cancer treatment, chronic illnesses, and traumatic injuries. This lifesaving care starts with one person making a generous donation. The need for blood is constant. But only about 3 percent of age-eligible people donate blood yearly. You can help the American Red Cross make sure that supply meets demand.
