Computer programmers use programming languages, such as Java and C++, to create software that runs on a computer or mobile device. Everything that people interact with on a daily basis on their computers or mobile devices were created by computer programmers. With the increase of computer chips in more devices, computer programmers will become increasingly necessary to create and make everyday work more convenient. At Metropolitan Community College, students in Computer Programming learn computer and technology language, along with other important information technology skills and knowledge. IT is a critical role in many work industries.
Graduation Requirements General Education: 22.5 Major Requirements: 13.5 Option Requirements: 58.5 Total credit hours required: 94.5
Students must take two programming language options, level I and level II courses.
