It also provides the foundation to inspect, clean, transform and model data for the aim of uncovering useful information. The program prepares students for Microsoft and MySQL certifications.

Possible jobs for graduates include database administrator, business intelligence analyst, database developer and data analyst. These occupations are needed in business and work environments, as well as other organizations. The job outlook for database administrators is expected to increase by 11 percent for 2016-26 according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
