Our Work

Since 1974, Metropolitan Community College has worked to provide the highest quality education and training for the best value in Nebraska. MCC serves nearly 50,000 credit and noncredit students yearly, making it the second-largest higher education institution in the state.

Our mission is to provide quality learning experiences for a diverse community of lifelong learners in our four-county service area. Eight locations serve the needs of Dodge, Douglas, Sarpy and Washington counties. MCC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission

Who we serve

MCC serves a diverse population: We serve students interested in careers in the trades, student who will transfer to four-year colleges or universities, single parents who want to upgrade their skills to find a better job and students who want to make a better life for themselves. Our students graduate, stay in the area and get jobs.

To meet the needs of this diverse population, MCC works with area partners to develop educational, workforce and economic solutions designed to serve learners of all ages—from preschool to college and beyond.

From cutting-edge workforce development programs to alleviating urban poverty through adult education, Metropolitan Community College is committed to meeting the challenges of education in the 21st century.
