Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate Training—Online

The Metropolitan Community College Early Childhood Program and Continuing Education are pleased to announce a new training program. An Infant Toddler Child Development Associate 120 professional educational clock hour training has been developed for anyone who is looking to advance their education and professional careers. This endeavor is a collaboration with The Council for Professional Recognition and the Nebraska Department of Education. Currently, this CDA training is offered in English. The Spanish version will be available starting in the 2019 winter quarter.

Open Enrollment. A Metropolitan Community College associate will contact you after you enroll to provide you with further instructions and to grant you access to your online course.
 

This CDA Infant Toddler training offers the following program benefits:

  • Self-paced: Go at your own pace; finish in as little as three months.
  • Personal coach: Will be working with you from beginning to end.
  • Innovative curriculum: Allows you to interact with content to make learning enjoyable.
  • Online access: Available 24 hours a day; seven days a week. Access to online activities and practice quizzes will give you instant feedback to gauge your learning.
  • Earn credit hours: Potential to earn 16.5 ECED credit hours towards an Early Childhood Educator Associate Degree from MCC.
  • Affordable: Books are included in the $500 course fee. 


When candidates complete the MCC Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate training and obtain the CDA Credential, they have the potential to earn the following ECED credit:

NOTE: The CDA Certificate is awarded by the Council for Professional Recognition. Visit the Council for Professional Recognition's website for more information on the steps to earn your Infant/Toddler CDA Credential. The above ECED credit is only eligible for candidates who complete 120 professional educational clock hours through the MCC Infant Toddler CDA online training and obtain the CDA Credential.

Metropolitan Community College in collaboration with the Department of Education Office of Early Childhood recognizes MCC as an approved professional organization to fulfill the formal education in specific child-care competency areas to meet the requirements for Child Development Associates credential in the State of Nebraska.

The Child Development Associate Credential TM is administrated by the Council for Professional Recognition, it is the only recognized, transferable, well-known, competency-based training of its kind and is an important avenue in advancing ones career in the Early Childhood workforce.
