Taylor Tylkowski Memorial Culinary and Hospitality Scholarship

The Taylor Tylkowski Memorial Culinary and Hospitality Scholarship was established by a group of friends in the Omaha community inspired by Taylor Tylkowski, who was a student in the culinary program at Metropolitan Community College. The scholarship is intended for students who are currently working in the restaurant and hospitality industry. The scholarship is intended to help students complete the program and can be awarded for up to 3 years at a maximum amount of $7,000 per student. This is a renewable scholarship—previous recipients are eligible for repeat scholar ship awards.

Scholarship criteria

  • Financial need not required, but may be considered

  • Minimum GPA of 2.0 (C or above) required

  • Grade must be maintained during scholarship

  • ​​Student must have part- or full-time status (minimum of 4.5 credit hours)

  • Scholarship is to be used for tuition and fees

  • Student must major in Culinary or Hospitality programs of study

  • Industry letter of recommendation required
