Lyle and Rosalyn Hansen Scholarship

Lyle and Rosalyn Hansen Scholarship

The Lyle and Rosalyn Hansen Scholarship was established in 2020 by Rosalyn Hansen to help students and caregivers interested in working with the elderly, particularly those impacted by Alzheimer’s disease, obtain an education.

Lyle Hansen served in the U.S. Air Force for many years, before pursuing a degree from University of Nebraska Omaha. After graduation, he went on to become the Director of Systems at Northern Natural Gas. Lyle passed away in 2014 after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease. As his caregiver, his wife Rosalyn recognized the value of healthcare professionals with a passion for working with the elderly. particularly those with the ability to address the anxiety, agitation, and aggressive behaviors that can affect Alzheimer’s patients.
