Graduation

MCC Commencement Ceremony

The Metropolitan Community College Commencement Ceremony is held annually to recognize students who have graduated or will graduate during the current academic year (fall, winter, spring and summer quarters).

At MCC, degree confirmation occurs at the end of each quarter and denotes the completion of a program of study. Degrees and certificates of achievement are mailed approximately four to six weeks after the end of each quarter to qualifying students.

notification - 2019-20 Academic Year commencement ceremony:

Considering current COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the decision that the annual MCC Graduation Ceremony scheduled for May 9, 2020 will not be held. This was a difficult decision, and our priority is the safety and health of our students, their family and friends, as well as the safety and health of MCC faculty and staff.

MCC recognizes and honors the excitement of walking across the stage in a cap and gown and we are currently looking at options later in the year when we are confident, we can gather in a way that is safe for all. Notification will be posted on the webpage once plans are finalized.

Diplomas will be mailed to graduates at the address listed on their graduation applications(s), within the time frames stated at the top of the page. All graduates will receive a printed copy of the graduation ceremony program and any honors medallions they have earned.
