Device Petting Zoo

Planning to check out devices from the new Success Center? Learn about the unique features of the laptops and iPads available and “test drive” the devices. Find out how the checkout process works and sign the student agreement. After this workshop, you’ll be ready to take advantage of this free service on the first day of the quarter!

Navigating MyWay

Take advantage of the free online tools MCC offers--including email, Blackboard, document storage, and more--with this basic introduction to MyWay and MyServices.

Note: Workshop participants must be enrolled MCC students.

One-on-One FASFA Assistance
Having difficulties completing your FAFSA application online? RSVP for this FAFSA assistance session to get one-on-one hands-on assistance from financial aid staff. Stay for just a few minutes to get questions answered or to complete your FAFSA application before or during the quarter you plan to attend.
Students are required to bring the following for FAFSA assistance:

  1. Valid government issued photo ID

  2. Social Security card

  3. Tax filers - 2015 tax return transcript or 1040 form (if student and/or parent filed taxes)

  4. Non Tax filers - 2015 W2 transcripts or forms (if student and/or parent worked in 2015)

Student Introduction to Blackboard
This workshop provides students with an opportunity to become familiar with Blackboard Learning Management System. Participants will be introduced to accessing and navigating courses and using course tools to be successful in meeting instructor expectations in Blackboard online, web-enhanced and hybrid courses.

Study Smarter, Not Harder: College Success Basics
Learn the basic of how to be a successful student. Recognize obstacles that prevent success, take advantage of College resources and know where to find help.

Test-Taking Tips
This workshop provides students with information on how/when to start preparing for test, how to reduce test anxiety and what students should do after the test.

Time and Stress Management
Assess your stress level and learn how to balance all aspects of your life — work, school, study time and your personal life.
