Language and Literacy Center

The Language and Literacy Center supports English language learners on their pathway to academic and career success. ELL/ESL academic support services are available to English language learners at any level, whether they are enrolled in MCC's English-as-a-Second Language program or are taking general education or program courses.

ESL Help with Coursework

  • English (ESL) grammar, reading, writing, listening, vocabulary, presentations, conversation, and pronunciation help
  • Study skills, homework, and test preparation

English Conversation Practice

  • Increase your skill and confidence speaking and understanding English
  • Learn and practice skills for classroom presentations, job interviews, and more

Reading and vocabulary learning 

  • Reading assistance with textbooks, research articles, and homework assignments
  • Learn how to learn new vocabulary
