What  is  career  academy?

Metropolitan Community College Career Academy provides an opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to learn specific career knowledge and skills prior to high school graduation. By participating in year-long MCC Career Academies, students can explore a career field and even get a start on a degree and/or job, all while earning up to 37 college credit hours.

  • Half the tuition for Nebraska high school residents

eligibility:

  • Must be a high school junior or senior
  • At least 16 years of age
  • Student must have transportation to and from classes
  • Regular attendance required, class time approximately 12:30-3:30 p.m.
  • Completed application packet
  • Approval through the counselor at each participating high school is necessary
