Summer Internship for Educators

Summer Internship for Educators

The internship program is designed for area teachers, counselors or administrators to experience hands-on work that their students are typically seeking for employment. This experience will help to enhance classroom instruction for students while fostering partnerships between school and business. The internship places a participating educator in a 40-hour work experience during the summer at an area business. Participants record skills observed on the job and formulate curriculum recommendations, timelines for possible implementation and lesson plans after the internship. You should only apply if you can complete a full week of internship.

Who Is Eligible?

Any school teacher, counselor or administrator within one of the following:

  • MCC four county service area (Dodge, Douglas, Sarpy and Washington)

  2. Will I receive professional development credit? Interns may receive continuing education credits for participating in the program but should check with their district.
